Wife wants a CHL

Post by Capt Roy »

My wife and her girlfriends have been really pestering me to teach them to shoot... So I gave in and 3 weeks ago did a NRA basic pistol course with them.. They have been going to the range to develop their skills.. Today my wife asked me to take her to the range... She shot 50 rounds through my SA 1911-A1 stainless 9mm at the 10 yard range and with no help from me shot a 216 on a b-27 target. She loaded, keep finger off triger and resolved a round that did not chamber correctly.. Now she wants her CHL..

As her husband, and CHL instructor, can I certify her in a class that is upcoming.. She will attend the class, take the exam, and qualify with the rest of the class.

By the way... I was real proud of her determination and achievment!!

Of course you can! As long as she goes through the whole course.
My wife sat through at least 3 classes before she decided to finally take the class herself.

I've tried to talk my wife into getting hers and she won't. I gave a ladies only class last month and it was great. They showed more enthusiasm and asked more questions, I wasn't ready for that. I've decided to have one once a quarter.

AS above, you can certify your wife. Mom will need a renewal before the wife will & I cant wait to certify Mom at 81 then Wife at 62.

Family is fun. :woohoo
