A Clark County judge says Wisconsin’s ban on carrying concealed weapons is unconstitutional. In the case, authorities charged a Sauk City man with carrying a concealed weapon, after he admitted he had a knife in his waistband. He never threatened anyone.
...
As of now, the decision only sets a precedent in Counsell’s court, but Poss expects the case will be appealed
...
Clark County Assistant District Attorney Dick Lewis said he has 20 days to appeal the ruling, and no decision has been made.

The pebbles set loose by McDonald are starting to roll.

Wisconsin is a weird case. They technically have open carry, but the big-city police (Milwaukee, mainly) don't respect it. Concealed carry is illegal. They do not have a licensing system.

IIRC, the legislature passed a concealed-carry bill that the governor vetoed last year.

More like boulders
I wonder if activist judges look upon judges that do this with disdain

I believe the leg has twice passed a CC bill, and the guv vetoed it both times.

Election for governor is this year. Republican Scott Walker is the NRA endorsed candidate. Per the Wisconsin State Journal, Democrat candidate Tom Barrett says he supports 2A, but won't support CC unless "the law enforcement community changes its position and supports the idea."

He sounds like a certain governor of Arkansas in the 50s. Also from the Democratic party.
Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
