My job invovlves a lot of traveling and every once in a while I am afforded with the chance to meet some very interesting people. I overnighted in Charleston S.C last night and there happened to be a fighting 69 reunion at the hotel. I was in the lobby and had a chance to meet a few of the WWII vets there. All i can say is that they are sure an amazing group of guys. One of the vets I was talking with asked if i would like to see what saved his life. I repsonded absolutely, and he pulled a coin out of his wallet in a small protective plastic baggy. This coin had a small hole in it from where it had stopped a round that would have hit him in his chest. He was carrying his coin in his front shirt pocket. He said the coin stopped the round and saved his life. Simply amazing. I took a picture with my phone but it is not the greatest quality.
I am sure there were so many amazing stories those guys probably had from the war i wanted to stay and talk. Unfortunantly I had to leave and get some sleep as I am out on the first flight this morning. That is a tuff as nails generation and I feel privelaged to be able to talk with them as there numbers are shrinking. It was an honor to be able to thank them for their service.

Just thought i would share as I thought it was very cool to meet some of them.
