I finally understand liberals

As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

I finally understand liberals

Apparently liberalism is a birth defect. This makes perfect sense.

Don't hold liberals responsible for their opinion -- they can't help themselves.

A new study has concluded that ideology is not just a social thing; it's built into the DNA, borne along by a gene called DRD4. Tagged "the liberal gene," DRD4 is the first specific bit of human DNA that predisposes people to certain political views, the study's authors claim.

Nice under-handed dig. "Liberals are more open to other peoples ideas".

I wonder how much dopamine was in the authors DNA?

On the study, or whether its a real news article? It's on the Fox News home page right now.

I imagine that If I were a scientist I would look for some valid peer reviews. The whole thing looked like it really wasn't scientific and was based simply on a psychology study.

Funny. I've had lots of "discussions" with Liberals and haven't found a single one of them open to other people's ideas. Their "feelings" tell them that they are correct and somehow further discussion and the presentation of opposing points of view is unnecessary. Most of them don't accept facts and truths so I'm not sure where anyone could find openness in that.

Maybe it wasn't dopamine in the authors but cannabis. :reddevil

:iagree:

I think the fact that the study authors associate open mindedness with being a liberal tells us all we need to know about the authors political beliefs.

As long as the other people have the same ideas as they do.

Well, it's true, as long as the other people are liberals.

You know something interesting?
The only time you folks act anything like the "conservative stereotypes" is when you talk about liberals.
(Liberals do the same thing when talking about conservatives.)

Kinda interesting, eh?
