Minor for us. Last night, our two Mustangs in the driveway were "decorated" with cheese slices and ketchup; it wasn't a whole lot. Police came by and said "a bunch of other cars in the neighborhood were painted." Things were done to houses and vehicles. I'm not sure that it has a meaning (and I can't figure what the food could mean). Our other cars weren't touched.
Makes easier our plans for leaving this place....

I was driving through League City on FM 518 last night and saw a car with some teenagers in it. They were playing their music loud and weaving in between lanes. One of the guys had, what looked like a spray can, and was trying to spray the car in the next lane. I don't know if it was paint or some of that colored stringy stuff left over from Halloween. They drove away before I could get the license plate number or the make of the car.

Sounds like more than a coincidence! Thanks!

SSHHH don't tell anyone but the west side of LC is where the majority of crime happens, The east side is pretty mellow.

At least you don't have quite as long a tow to the track....

Good point.
Oldschool: So did the pony's clean up good? Did the cheese and ketchup do any permanent damage?

No damage, thanks, it wasn't left in the sun very long. Both are in epoxy (the older one was painted the month before Rita by a shop who didn't know/care what they were doing; we'll redo it ourselves when we have time). These are the drivers; our other ponies are off-site and pretty well protected until we finish the engines.
New: Neighbor's SUV across the street was spray-painted last night. Don't know of any others.

Sounds like some high schoolers found a new exciting pastime. I've known kids like this and it usually just gets worse until they start breaking glass and stealing stuff.
Consult your own conscience / schedule, but I have sat out on my roof before with a paintball gun when faced with something like this. You might want to consider installing a video surveillance system, though I'm not sure it's worth it if you plan on moving soon.
The worst my friends and I ever did was toilet paper houses of people we knew, then we'd have a good laugh and help them clean it up the next day. The whole a carburger / spray painting stuff makes me feel so minor league.

If they clay bar the spray paint before it sits too long there's a good chance it will come off, but stay away from the mothers clay bar. Another thing I've had good luck with is a wool buffer pad on a drill and meguirs fine cut cleaner (be careful, you can burn through the clear coat) followed by a good wax (meguirs high tech yellow wax is my fav).

OR they could just get some more spray paint and do a nice CAMO job on the car

I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.
