There is more to this than just an insult to the flag. While I admit that this article probably has some Conservative bias, it does lay out some of the groups behind wanting to do away with the American flag.OldSchool wrote:Sounds to me like the Sup is in over his head. The statement that there were "complaints from students" over flying the US flag indicates that there are factions at that school who see the US flag as an insult. I would infer, then, that there are cultural factions at the school (a la NY in the 50's), and the Sup is losing control of the situation. I may be misreading, but it really sounds as if the Sup is trying to keep peace any way he can, and the story as related in the article is just a small indication of the true problems.

How about you appreciate this? You are living in our culture, and this is our flag, if you don't llike it, go back to your culture.
