New member - Hi

Post by TheMechanic »

Hi everybody,
From the Houston area. Currently waiting on my plastic to get here. The application status said it was finally mailed last Friday. I always wanted to get my CHL for the longest time and its finally happening. I recently purchased my IWB holster (CB supertuck) and have been prepping myself mentally and physically by wearing it around the house with my pistol in it. I've been trolling this site for days and it is a great source for information, especially regarding CHL prohibited areas. Probably like many of you, I have been in some scary situations that I really do not wish to experience again...ever, but I feel better knowing that I have options (with the added legal responsibities) now in regards to being a CHL holder. Keep up the great work. Thanks.

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me

Welcome aboard from the Houston area. Excellent choice on carry set-up, I often carry with a CBST and XDSC.

Welcome from San Antonio. I think you'll find this is a great forum, it was nice spending time here while waiting on my plastic last year and I still hang around 'cuz I learn something all the time. Lots of nice knowledgeable folks here with a lot of info on many topics. BTW I have 2 Supertucks, very nice holsters. Good choice if IWB is your preferred carry method.

Welcome aboard sir. We talk about guns of course,
but actually lots of odds 'n ends subjects pop up over time.

Somebody here usually will have a comment, or even a correct
answer, to things you want to know.

Now, I have to ask you - How do we get our "Check Engine" lights
to shut off without spending big dollars?? :-)
