Suggestions for wife's daily carry holster

Post by HarleyDave »

My wife currently has a Springfield XDsc 9mm and after trying some of my holsters, she want her own. Imagine that? "rlol"

So anyway, for her holster belt she uses the Wilderness Tactical Instructors belt 5 stitch and her daily carry will be a Springfield XDsc 9mm for her carry. All this to say and not wanting my help :banghead: I thought I'd look to the experts for a good RH dally OWB (no interest in IWB, carry holster. I would appreciate as may ideas as possible, so she can choose, as I stand by with the credit card ready to purchase what she chooses through y'all s input.
Thanks so much :cheers2:

Does she prefer leather, kydex, or a leather & kydex hybrid?

Leather:

Kydex:
Comp-Tac Belt Holster

Hybrid:
Minotaur Gladiator

Then you have similar variations for IWB holsters.

TAM, out of the group she likes the DeSantis Leather. Not crazy about the other 2, so it looks like leather, at this point. Thanks

If you haven't seen this, take a look:

I think she prefers a belly band or something like the SmartCarry. Just to mention sometimes other options are just better for ladies than they are for men.

That said, since you have asked specifically about OWB, I'd look here: http://www.ttgunleather.com/catalog/c10_p1.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Relatively no wait and leather.

I have an M&P 9c and carry IWB with a Tucker Tx Heritage. I carried last weekend for over 15 hours. I carried at about 9:30 or 10 and cross draw as my shoulders don't always like reaching back. When I was shopping for my carry SA, the Springfield was in the running!

I have also tried my husbands MTAC and like it very much! He loves it and has the same weapon I do. I am waiting for my comfort carry for my P238; which I am carrying with a bellyband right now.

At the forum day I tried a shoulder holster and liked it to try on, but have tried others that didn't feel so nice - unfortunately I forgot the maker... :???:

I guess my point after all this is if she can get to try some on, that is the best! I can't thank the forum and CompVest enough for making that possible at forum day. I was totally befuddled and overwhelmed with all the choices and options. I am a very tactile learner and the hands on was a major plus!
