THANK YOU

I referenced it sorta ... see viewtopic.php?f=94&t=40069" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and go to the U.T. article comments in that post, where I posted under "John"(my dad's name, in his memory)

E-mail to John Lott, (he says "Neat, Thanks") and a couple campus carry organization notifications have gone out, I'll probably have to wait until tomorrow to notify news peoples.

Thanks for your permission to send it too.
Here's what can be sent to y'alls local newspaper/TV news "submit news tip"" submit story idea" links or via e-mails, if you want to (same as above post, with link addresses for this thread, and the document). (I'll try to cover San Antonio, San Marcos, Austin, Houston again, though it takes all day)
Perhaps as 1 news reporter stated, "a groundswell of students demanding the right" will occur if things like this stay in the news.

On the two links, you'll need to right click and copy link location, or actually click and copy from the address bar and paste to check that you get the links correct if you send it to people, and format; check spacing etc, as I must have some line breaks, copying from notepad.

TAMUG Student Senate Endorses Concealed Carry

For a copy of the resolution see:
viewtopic.php?f=90&t=40067" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; where it can be downloaded, or
download it at
http://www.tamug.net/txchlforum/Conceal ... pdated.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This Senate Resolution was passed during Texas A&M University at Galveston's Student Government Association's Senate meeting on Sunday, November 19, 2010.

On Wednesday, November 10, 2010, The Student Government Association's Student Affairs Committee hosted a Concealed Carry on Campus Forum. Immediately after the forum, and for the next two days in the Student Life Center, polling was conducted to see whether or not students supported Concealed Carry on Campus.

20% of the student body (consisting of nearly 1,900 individuals) responded in the survey with an outcome of 55% supporting
it.

In my estimation after the fact, there were between 100 and 150 students attending the forum.

There were two representatives from the university, the Executive Director of Student Affairs and the Chief of Campus Police.

This resolution is a Senate-only resolution and cannot be vetoed by the Student Body President
. I thought our campus had a representative on the Chancellor Student Advisory Board of the Texas A&M University System. I was just informed that the resolution will be going to Main Campus in College Station, so I do not know if the Chancellor Student Advisory Board will see our resolution or not.

Sincerely,
A Texas A&M University at Galveston Student AND A Texas Concealed Handgun License Holder[/b]
