Glocks have gone to the Pots

No seriously...this morning after our jog, my neighbor (who works for the Rockwall SO) and I went into McDonalds for some breakfast. (real healthy I know ) We both went into the bathroom, I needed to wash my hands and he had some "duty" he needed to take care of. Right after turning on the water to wash my hands I heard a THUNK...CLANK...SPLASH... When I asked what had happened he replied..."I just dropped my glock in the toliet."

He had it positioned at about 5oclock in the waistband of his running shorts and under armor shorts. (Spandex shorts he had on under his running shorts) and apparently carrying a glock 23 in this manner is so comfortable he forgot it was there??

When he asked me if I was going to tell anyone I replied..."No..I am going to tell EVERYONE!"

Which leads me to a question...What to do with your weapon in a public bathroom if you have "Duty" (or doodie ) to do?
(Edited to note I just found the other topics on bathroom procedures, but it's still a pretty funny story!)

The easiest solution is to not handle your "duty" in a public restroom, unless it is a dire emergency. The 1 time I had a dire emergency, thankfully it was a single restroom with a locking door. I just put it on the sink and went about my business. Otherwise, I would think either temporarily putting it in your pocket, or setting it somewhere in the stall, would be the best solution. Though admittedly, that would require remembering it is there in the first place. Mine is always in a holster with fairly good retention (I wear my supertuck when I run), so even if I did forget it was there, I dont think it would fall out. if it's not in the holster, I'm pocket carrying the PF9.

The last time I did was in 1995...and that was only because it was "urgent".

lots of them seem to have a shelf or the top of the TP holders are shelves .. I'll put mine there. or else keep my weapon/holster pulled up high enough it can't be seen from the view under the door / stalls

I eat a bowl of fiber one cereal (the original, not the sweet flavored junk) with 2 tablespoons of ground flax seeds for breakfast every morning. Coupled with my one morning cup of coffee, I'm quite a "regular guy", if you know what I mean.
