Post by Oldgringo »

This very timely article is a good read and poses interesting questions and challenges. Unfortunately, it may contain many truths as well.

The definition of hypocrite.

" I don't have that information [ that the shooter was in any way influenced by the "vitriol", listened to talk radio, or followed Sarah Palin ] ... it is my opinion, period"

" but my belief is ...when people, allegedly credible people, who get up in front of cameras and microphones and say things that are not true and try to inflame the public ... I think it is time that we take a look at it."

Case in point. When the media started running car chases in LA on TV the number of such incidents skyrocketed.

He says opinion is what makes the world go around, but would deny others the ability to voice those opinions with which he disagrees. The sad thing is this seems logical to this individual.

The even sadder thing is that his approach is shared by many of his same political persuasion. I only watched him on TV for a few minutes and was completely soured by what he was saying.

Officials who represent the area in which areas where events of the National significance of this one have an obligation to provide the FACTUAL MATERIAL that is not available to the public, especially in the immediate aftermath of that event. Pontification should be done separately if at all.

If advertising didn't work, companies are wasting a lot of money on superbowl commercials.

Well, they are wasting it. Most folks just watch the ads, laugh at them, then forget whatever it is the company is hawking.
