your take on this please
possession of any firearms or other weapons is prohibited on Company premises, in
Company vehicles or on the Employee's person while engaged in Company business
outside of Company premises, regardless of whether possession of the weapon is
permitted under applicable state or federal law.
Any possession, use, display, brandishing, gesture or intimidation with a firearm or
other weapon on Company premises is a violation of the Company’s Code of Business
Conduct subject to disciplinary action up to and including dismissal.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, storage of a lawfully possessed weapon in personal
vehicle on Company premises is permitted when, and only to the extent that, state law
prohibits the Company from banning such storage.
In addition, notwithstanding the foregoing, possession of firearms or other weapons that
complies with the (insert name) Weapons Authorization Policy is permitted.
I just assumed that meant even with a CWP until I read that this section

It looks like carry is legal but if they find out they may fire you.
A gun in your car can also get you fired, unless state law prohibits that.

In addition to what others have said my take on it is that this is why we need the parking lot bill.

Just out of curiosity, what is the Boss' take on this? I suspect that his"take" is more germane to your employment than all of our opinions put together. FWIW, one can be fired in Texas for having the wrong color of eyes, etc., etc.

My take on it is DADT. Other people may have a different moral compass but, as I see it, it's not much different than a light skinned African American "passing" 50 years ago when that kind of discrimination was legal.

Yeah pretty much is the route I am going. I take the my class on Feb 27th.
I like my boss a lot and I am positive if it was his call he wouldnt care. HOWEVER if it came down to my rear or his I know who would be chosen and I have no issue with that.
My job is not a dangerous one to a degree. I have to go to places I would NEVER go outside of work. Getting another job is not an option or I would not have posted this to begin with so thanks for not putting "just get another job".
Also thanks to everyone on here for all the tips so far. I will be ordering my comp-tac minataur with i am guessing C-clips? for my XD soon as well as an additional body for a gun I intend on getting. I will decide at at that time what that will be. Also will be buying a wilderness original instructor belt for casual wear and still on the hunt for a belt to wear when shirts have to be tucked in.
I am foaming at the mouth just thinking about all of it.

On one of my holsters, if I bend over the c-clips print worse than the gun does. They've gotta be thick enough to let most belts through, but my belt is more on the thin side, so they stick out maybe 0.3". It doesn't sound like much, but when you're wearing a solid-color shirt (like most company uniforms are), it's pretty noticeable. The lump is too big for your eye to not notice it, but too small to be a cell phone, multi-tool, or other non-gun object.1s1k52 wrote:Also thanks to everyone on here for all the tips so far. I'd try the Velcro clips if it were me. Or if you can leave your shirt untucked, the regular over-the-belt hooks might work. I frequently disarm for work, but keep the empty holster on so that I don't have to fiddle with shoving something that's designed to not move back in my pants at the end of the night. If anybody's noticed the hooks, they haven't said anything.

but you can't tuck a shirt in with velco clips of standard clips can you? the C clips to me look less noticeable with tucked in shirts

This is also an interesting statement. If I understand correctly the parenthetical words "name here" indicate the name of the subject company? If so, it sounds like certain individuals within the company are already authorized/approved to be exempt from the rest of the company firearms rules ... probably NOT for new hires or those farther down the ladder of the inner structure. I might give it a rest for long enough to determine how the company policy actually works before pressing my luck if the job is important to my personal well being.
Also, I agree, the parking lot policy seems to be a very current product. Actually the entire policy tends to have that new car smell to me. The wording would seem that the worst that could happen is dismissal if you were discovered with a legally possessed firearm (CHL carrying or vehicle under MPA).
Might better investigate the policy a bit more.

I have a Crossbreed Supertuck and velcro clips (with a velcro lined Crossbreed belt). Yes, you can tuck fine with velcro, and they are much less noticeable than C or J clips.
