Home Decorating With Firearms

Post by doc540 »

Ok, maybe not home, but it's a cheap display I enjoy on top of my chest of drawers.

It promotes peaceful coexistence between manufacturers. ;)

I like it. Extra points for creative use of spent cases!

On a similiar note, I have been looking for a decorative way to hang an antique rifle on the mantle. I have seen hangers that were made from 2 horseshoes, but I can't find them now. Anybody seen those and know where I can find them?

That was the idea of my brilliant, creative wife. I'll pass it on to her.

I found several listings for them by just googling "horse shoe gun rack". Here's one example: http://www.lonestarironandtrading.com/r ... rtist.html.
I've made a few things out of horse shoes before, and I would offer to make you a set, but I'm not sure of the quality I can achieve as compared to someone who makes them day in/day out. Some of those guys make some pretty cool looking stuff with just a couple of horse shoes welded together and some pretty amazing painting skills.
