Is it cold enough for ya?

Post by USA1 »

So I wrapped the pets and brought in the pipes. :mrgreen:

Tomball - 19 degrees outside right now and the wind is kickin.
I know some of y'all are seeing snow and single digit temps. :bigear:

The funny thing is that I was wearing shorts and enjoying 76 degrees of sunshine just two days ago. :shock:

On a brighter note..the groundhog didn't see his shadow this year so that means spring is right around the corner.

I went out and plugged the truck in last night. It was down to 16F at 11:45 PM. February 2nd, 1985 saw a record low of 2F in the Central Texas region--so it could be worse. I understand it could be colder tonight. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It was 19 degrees at 4:30 this morning when I got in the truck to go to the gym! News report said there is a -47 degree difference from yesterday morning to this morning. Thats just insane!

Well, maybe there is some good news:

I don't know how many of you have seen it yet but ERCOT is predicting rolling blackouts through the State.

http://www.click2houston.com/news/26708768/detail.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There is nothing like 19 degrees and no electricity to make the season enjoyable. BTW, ERCOT says that the outages only last 10 minutes but news reports in DFW say that they have been several hours and, in some areas, have occurred multiple times already.

At least we have gas logs and they aren't affected....yet.
