The chief of police in Nuevo Laredo was gunned down Wedensday night according to a report on CNN. He had been on the job only since January 1.

So does anyone have an estimate about the number of murdered officials that it will take before the country is declared to be in anarchy?
My prayers got out to those in Mexico who have given their lives trying to re-establish the rule of law. I heard on this morning's news that the conviction rate for crimes in Mexico is 2%.
