Disconcerting...

Hey! why did my name pop up!? :evil2:

Not really, but I found out I'm surrounded by thugs.

Great site. Wish there was "an app for that" for my phone.

Actually, the results are fake.
How do you explain a dog named Sauer without first telling the story of a Puppy named Sig?

Found out my "old neighborhood" is less "inhabited" than a local gated access "active seniors community" in an area that is promoted to be so very safe and quiet.... riiiiiiggggghhhhhtt!

If it were real the results would be consistent and most of the crimes would match Texas, rather than "Sixth Degree Attempted Man Slaughter."

I have to agree with you. I typed in my address and city but used all the other states, and each time flags came up with "felons". I don't know about you, but I seriously doubt there are addresses identical to mine in all 50 states.

Try this DPS Link You can find all registered sex offenders in a zip code area here. I think the other site is trying to get you to sign up and give them $$$$. :nono:

Yep, and one time it showed a felon supposedly living in what I know to be a million-dollar mansion owned by a retired lawyer.

Watch out for the sex-offender sites, too. They are subject to false positives, false negatives, and outdated information.

I'm glad to know the results are suspicious, because if they aren't, my very nice upscale neighborhood is no better than a country club for rapists, kidnappers, arsonists, and child molesters. Somehow, I doubt the results.

If you go to their index page, you'll see that their advertisers are in the categories of:
- Bikini Pictures
- Florida Palm Trees
- Micro Bikini
- College Humor

Somehow, I also doubt the legitimacy of this site.... ....and guess what? I submitted my address on that form. What do you suppose they are doing with all those addresses they're collecting? I can't believe that I've fallen for a rookie mistake like that.

Um, I didn't. I figured out a long time ago to use a non-existent address that would be close to my house if it existed.

If this isn't clear, on many blocks you will have, for example, 501, 503, 505, etc., up to 509. In that case just use 511 or 513.

Or you could use the address of an annoying neighbor.
