I'm looking for a place to shoot handguns in the area between McKinney to Bonham and Whiteright to Greenville areas. We have a new 100 - 500 yard rifle range near by, but they do not have a pistol range yet. Many of the local land owners are reluctant to let anyone shoot in areas where they have cattle, horses, and hay. I don't blame them. We've only lived in this town for a short time so we don't know many locals yet. The ranges in Plano and Garland are a bit far for convenient use. Anyone know of any others?

Jacob's Plain Gun Club is probably the closest to the area you specified.

Thanks
Afraid this only has long range only 100- 500 yards . They say they will have a pistol range some day, but not yet. Wish they did. It's only about 6 miles away

We used to have Tom Bean range and was closed last year. No words when it will open again. I miss that place.

This one is only about 20 miles. I'll have to check into it. Thanks.. For some reason it didn't come up in my search beforePawpaw wrote:Jacob's Plain Gun Club is probably the closest to the area you specified.

Yeah I saw the delapidated sign out there on hwy 11. But couldn't get anything else. The one on US380 between McKinney and Princeton closed about the same time. Someone said he was having troubles with the neighbors.

Collin County Gun Club. City of McKinney put them out of business some six years ago or more.2farnorth wrote:Beiruty wrote:We used to have Tom Bean range and was closed last year. No words when it will open again. I miss that place.
