I have recently changed residence and have applied online for a change of address for my DL and my CHL - can I legally carry my weapon using my old CHL along with my printed receipt or do I have to wait until I actually have my plastic CHL in hand? I understand that my DL is current with my old plastic model along with the receipt... Thanks in advance...

Your CHL is still valid until it expires. The only requirement, which you have already addressed, is to notify DPS of the change. Feel free to carry with you current CHL. If you feel more comfortable carrying a copy a the receipt, do so.
