TX DPS shoots 3 year old

Post by magillapd »

I looked, didn't see it already posted. IF so sorry in advance.

Here is the story about a 3 year old that got wounded in a shooting of a pursuit suspect. http://www.wfaa.com/news/crime/DPS-knew ... 75524.html

Now, check this video out from Fox news Megyn Kelly. Other then the opinion, what do you think about the lady at the end talking about Glock's. http://video.foxnews.com/v/4541955/todd ... sive-force

I read that the toddler was not hit. The Grandma should blame her son in law!

Where is the TX Social Services to take away this kid, the father was endangering the life of his son by going into triple speed and trying to ram DPS officers.

Just a slight pull of the trigger on a glock - & lots of bullets come out? WOW.

Mine didn't do that!

Mine never have and I had lots of Glock models, lots of bullets came out once when I pressed a mag release button though because they were in the magazine that came out.

The child was only grazed and they say they did not know he was in the car.

There's no excuse for trying to sensationalize a story and then flubbing on your "facts". Do your research before you make fools out of yourselves, reporters.
The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it to be always kept alive. It will often be exercised when wrong, but better so than not to be exercised at all. I like a little rebellion now and then. It is like a storm in the atmosphere. -Thomas Jefferson

Ratings=Money. There is always a push to be the first to break a story so they will always go on the air before knowing all of the facts. The "debate" between the commentator's was pretty phony. Just bad theater.

It was on the news, it must be true. Someone should volunteer to take her to the range and teach her something about guns. I would volunteer, but I don't have a Glock.

It's not surprising that the DPS troopers didn't see the child - Three year olds usually aren't very tall. Very fortunate for all involved that the child was only grazed.

I saw something that stated the bullet struck the car seat and bruised the child's back. Apparently dispatch knew there was a child in the car, but the message didn't make it to the pursuing troopers for some reason. A child in a car seat in the back seat of the vehicle would be almost impossible to see unless the car was stopped and they were looking into the vehicle.

Yes, apparently dispatch knew, but we don't know how far into the situation before they found out. I believe that if the pursuiting officers knew up front, they would have backed off. I had read that the child was in the front passenger seat.

This link has a picture of the child's back wound. http://www.wfaa.com/news/local/DPS-knew ... &img=1&c=y" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If I thought it would be received well or do any good, I'd be willing to buy a Glock this morning, drive up there and pay for the range time...

...this kinda crap could happen waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more often than it does...MANY times I've called the police and, being an ex-street officer, given them every pertinent detail possible to help them...and the officer who responded got half of it...sometimes less...the man on the scene can only react/respond to what he knows...and these troopers, any one of whom would have taken a bullet for that child, hadn't been told he was there...and she wasn't visible from their vantage point...the media owes DPS an apology for sensationalizing this...our troopers are better than this...and deserve better....

It was stated in the news video that 20 shots were fired, from 1 or more Glocks.

But if you look at the driver's side doors and the driver's side gas cap door,
it appears that they have been hit by a shotgun due to the closely spaced
holes.

Father of the year.
I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.
