I polished 1000 pieces of brass at once..Thanks Beiruty!

Post by HotLeadSolutions »

After reading a something Beiruty posted about how I could just use my dryer to polish brass...I got to thinking "Why Not"

I went to Home Depot and bought a 2 gallon bucket with lid. Used some 'media' that I use in my snakes cage (Crushed Walnut shells - Petco for 9.00)

I placed the bucket into the dryer (wrapped in several towels and then padded with pillows) turned it on 'air dry' for 2 hours. When it was done...Shiny Brass :coolgleamA:

At first I took Beiruty's post as kind of a joke, but it seemed to work out well.
I know...Im an redneck... :txflag:

Cause I are a RedNeck too. :thumbs2:

That reminds me...I have a dryer in the garage that will not heat up. What a perfect use for it. My wife won't kill me for that.

RCBS Brass cleaner - $75.00
New Front Load Dryer - $1,200
Look on wife's face when bucket breaks and spills media in dryer -- Priceless

Good idea but I think I will pass............

Cheaper than a used dryer.

Cheaper than repairing the one in your laundry room.

Won't put you in the doghouse with your wife.

That's similar to baking DuraCoat'ed parts in the family oven. :cheers2:
