Kalrog's having surgery

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Kalrog's having surgery

Post by Charles L. Cotton »

Kalrog is having surgery and we need to remember him in our prayers. I know he mentioned it in another thread, but that one is on another subject and we need this where we can keep track of it and lift him up to our Lord.

Thanks all! I saw the response on the other thread and was heading this way to make a post... but Charles beat me to it.

It is "just" a hernia operation so I should be in the hospital less than 2 hours from the time I go under until the time I leave... but it is still surgery. I shouldn't even be fully sedated, so it really is about as minor as it can get (too bad the bill isn't that minor), but a hernia for an ultra marathon runner is a slightly larger deal than for most.

I've already lifted you up, Kalrog. May God keep you in His hands and watch over you.
You take care.

Thought I would drop by and give a quick update... Surgery went fairly well on Thursday, but then early on Friday morning I had some low BP reactions and passed out - a trip to the ER followed. I am doing just fine, but I am supposed to stay in bed all day today so no long posting for me. Just a quick update for everyone. I'll give a more detailed update later, but I am doing just fine and hope to be truly up and doing "normal" things by Sunday morning. This is a longer road than I had hoped - and falling a couple of times didn't help at all.

And NO I wasn't overdoing it. I was taking it as easy as I could. I didn't do anything stressful at all and haven't even touched the vicadin so it wasn't a drug reaction at all.

May God's healing hand touch you so you can be completely whole.

After a good night's rest, I am feeling much better. I hope to make it to church tomorrow and really start doing more normal things ASAP - but I can tell you that waist carry is out right now. Glad I have a shoulder harness that I am borrowing right now.

I remember that. It was 1 month before I could carry Kim. Had to settle for K-T in the back pocket & let Wife & Mother be my body guards. Man I love being surrounded by beautiful women. ;-)

Glad to hear you're feeling better.
