Does waiting period for offenses start after offense date?

Post by jmunjr »

If an individual had a drug offense in March 2001, was sentenced to probation in June 2001 and completed that probation in the Fall of 2003 on what date would he/she be eligible for a CHL assuming the waiting period is ten years?

Thanks

Welcome to TexasCHLforum. Was it a deferred adjudication? If so, they the person would be eligible June, 2011. If it was a conviction and the sentence was probation, then a felony would be a permanent bar to getting a CHL.

Excellent, thank you so much for the info. Yes, deferred adjudication in Florida.
