Suggestion: PM Notification

There's an option in the control panel to be notified when you get a new private message. How about an option to include the contents of the PM with the notification? ucp.php?i=165

Go to the Board Preferences tab under "User control panel" select the options to be notified. An email will be sent to you, I have this setup for threads I watch and PM's.

geekwagun, I think you're missing the point. If I'm reading the OP correctly, scud runner knows about the setting for notification. The suggestion was to have an additional option to include the actual text of the PM. In other words, when we receive the notice of the PM in our email inbox, we can actually read the PM there, rather than having to log in to the forum and navigate to our PM inbox in the forum. Did I interpret you correctly, scud runner?

Personally, I kinda like that idea myself - I always have my email up. Would be cool to see who sent me what message as soon as it pops in. Not that I'm into instant gratification or anything like that.

My link was to the CP page to turn on the notification and I was asking for an enhanced notification.
