Issac speaks on guns, money

State Rep. Jason Isaac’s advice was blunt: Do not attend public universities if a proposed bill is passed.

to be fair, the question he answered was
When asked what course of action students should take if they feared roommates carrying a concealed weapons,
I'd add to that, and don't go to these places now, Campus Parking Lots, Courtyards, Wal-Mart, Church, Grocery Stores, Malls, Parks, city libraries, bookstores, Starbucks, K-Mart, Target, Sears, ACL Music Festivals, SXSW ....

ASG Sen. Maxfield Baker, political science senior, spoke in favor of the bill but talked at length of oversights in the CHL testing procedure.

“It’s ridiculous that you would issue someone a handgun and not give them a drug test,”Baker said.
Wait .... was I supposed to pick one up somewhere they were being issued?

You guys were supposed to let me know ... "rlol"

I hope I'm not too late, I could use a 1911, gold-plated if they have one left ... All I'll need then is a Barbecue pit.

To be fair, he meant a license, and he says he's Pro-Concealed Carry, but wants drug testing.

Segura said he spoke to ASG about concerns regarding LGBTQ students being potentially harassed.

“No one wants to think about coming out when they have to worry about there being a handgun under their roommate’s pillow,” he said.
I always think the other way.

If a person is armed, who wants to try to bash that person, the possibility of that potential bashee carrying an equalizer, could be a deterrent.

Yeah, where's my government-issued 1911? Oh OK, so the gubmint doesn't issue that model anymore ... fine, I'll take a Beretta. Or maybe one of thoese Sig .375s the state troopers are carrying now?

Do we just drop off a cup of our urine and pick up a gun or what?

I'm wondering if they shouldn't give a drug test before these people exercise thier 1st amendment rights. :headscratch

Sir, you'll need to come with me. You don't have a valid speech license.

I wonder how many homosexuals are getting beaten up on campus right now. I'm willing to bet it's not that many. Why would murder, a much more serious crime, increase as a result of the bill's passing?

It just occurred to me that students really need to get on the ball and start backing the proposed campus carry law.

Anyone who didn't know before that universities were "victim rich environments" certainly does now!

I don't think I'd want to shoot a .375 caliber pistol; you'd be likely to lose some fillings.
