Just an update, for those who were wondering:
Son (and Sergeant) #2 received his first rocker today! Unfortunately, he's in training about halfway between us and Gihis wife (separated by some thousands of miles in each direction). We have to make it to Hawaii for a guided tour before he's reassigned again....
Life is for learning.
