Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 - Springs a Leak

Post by WildBill »

A Southwest Airlines flight landed safely at a military base in Yuma, Arizona, on Friday with what passengers described as a 3-foot hole in the fuselage of the Boeing 737. The plane lost pressure at 35000 feet. It took 45 seconds for the oxygen masks to deploy. The decompression occured about 35 minutes into the flight from Phoenix to Sacramento.

There was a report of one injury. Passengers were kept on the plane until a new airplane arrived at the Yuma Marine Corps Air Station.

Nobody got sucked out of the plane.
