What a Maroon

Post by Kythas »

Alec Baldwin says Obama hasn't lived up to expectations because the financial crisis has, and I quote, "prevented him from spending".

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/alec-ba ... has-crippl

Wow.

The man who, in his first year as President, increased the national debt more than every President before him combined, has been "prevented" from spending.

Where is Reagan when we need him? "The problem isn't that government taxes too little, the problem is that government spends too much" - Ronald Reagan.

Sorry, I know this isn't technically gun related but I had to get it off my chest. I now return you to your regular programming.

Baldwin is "maroon?" Hmm. That's a shade of red, which it more commonly associated with the conservatves. I would think he is more pf an "azure" or "cerulean." But maybe something of a darker shade of blue, now that I read the article.

Oh. You meant moron! That I can see! :evil2:

He's also a vegan.

I contemplated sending him a fur-wrapped CFC laden styrofoam ice chest full of assorted prime cuts of cow flesh one year for a Christmas present. (I found his address on the internet-don't ask me how...it was a LOOOONG time ago).

Really? Most of the vegans I know are incredibly skinny....never would have guessed he's one. That's interesting.

At least he was when he was married to Kim Basinger.

He might have reformed now. Looks like he has.

If you ever watched cartoons, Bugs Bunny used the same pronunciation of the word moron. Since the OP was poking fun, I just assumed that the was a doing his best Bugs Bunny impression via the written word.

Since he publicly stated that someone should kill the Speaker of the House Henry Hyde and his entire family, I have refused to watch anything that he is in, TV or movies. If anyone in my family wants to watch them, they can go somewhere else. When his ads come on TV, I mute them or go to another channel and I refuse to buy anything that he advertises for. He is a detestable man whom I wish would go away and not come back.

I thought Alec Baldwin was going to leave the country if Bush was elected. I guess he's still here??? Oh yeah, I forgot he stuck around to call his daughter a pig. He should stick to repeating dialog written by someone else because his intelligence is showing when he speaks his own thoughts and it ain't too good!

"What a maroon" could also be found in certain "The Three Stooges" short films. (I started to just shorts, but knowing this crowd, that could lead to some interesting commentary.)

I did mean this in the Bugs Bunny manner, you're correct!

Perhaps we're just aging ourselves. I'm sure the younger generation wasn't brought up on Looney Tunes, and are all worse off for it.

For that matter, they probably have no idea what Schoolhouse Rock is, either.
