Bye Mom

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Lost my mom 13 miles from where I'm sitting on 9/11/84
Lost my dad 2 feet from where I'm sitting 09/16/08
These songs help me sometimes..

Actually, I have NOT lost them ... I know where they are.

Hey all, I just wanted to say thanks for the thoughts / prayers. The service went well, I think. Unfortunately, Mom and Dad didn't do a very good job of planning things, so I ended up having to do a lot of that. I think mom would have liked the service. The songs were easy, I just picked her four favorites:
  • What a Friend We Have in Jesus.
  • Nearer My God To Thee
  • Rock of Ages
  • How Great Thou Art
The scripture was a bit more difficult, but I used verses I think she would have liked.
  • Psalm 23
  • Psalm 84 1-4, 10, & 12
  • Revelation 21: 1-7
  • John 14: 1-6
  • 1 Corinthians 13: 1-7
Anyway, now it's just time to get back to work and get caught up. Thanks again, everyone!
