I teach a course here and there, sometimes arranged by conference organizer outfits. One of them wants to set up my 4-day course in London, Dubai, and Singapore. They want me to send a short demo video of me teaching. Maybe not if I pass a phone call test to see if they can understand my Texas accent, I guess. My question is this. I have mics to use on my computer, but none of my computers have a camera. Obviously, my voice needs to be in sync with the visual, so I can't use my $200 point and shoot snapshot camera that will do maybe 5 minutes without sound before running down. I don't have a movie camera with sound. Should I try to borrow one? How would the sound be 10-12 feet away? Should I borrow someone's laptop with a built-in camera and stand back holding one of my mics? What are my options?
Sorry for the length of this question.

USB webcams aren't expensive.
Here's one that will do 1080p: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/webcam-co ... vices/6816

Thanks, PAWPAW. Trouble is, I will probably never use it again. Maybe someone I know has one of those and I can borrow it.

my friends and i run a business doing car videos and photos: http://www.gearheadflicks.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
we have a nice Sony HD camera, maybe we can work something out. it would have to be me filming, as opposed to a 'borrow' situation if that's ok.

Welcome to the forum, Shufflerbot. It's a great place to learn about guns, laws, personal experiences with defense situations, etc. As for my video. In about 10 days, I will receive the phone call. If, after that. a video is requested, I will decide what to do. As I said, I don't want to buy equipment I will use only once. I'm cheap, but I don't like to take advantage of anyone due to my cheapness, either.
