Fast & Furious

Post by AEA »

Was the "Fast & Furious" BATFE scheme designed to support the Anti's agenda with the goal to further restrict guns with regards to law abiding citizens?

I have a big feeling that it was.

Had it not been revealed and now being scrutinized by Congress (Dog & Pony Show), would the guns that were knowingly sent to Mexico help to "confirm" by Anti's to US Policy Makers that more gun control is needed?

I am beginning to think this was all a coordinated effort (that no one will admit they authorized) to further degrade our rights by restrictions of types of guns sold in the USA (reinstate and widen another Gun Ban).

Of course, even if this is true, Congress will never admit it.

Your thoughts?

Um, yes?

The fact that they forced gun shops who reported their concerns to the ATF to continue selling guns, claiming they'd track them is ridiculous. Have they arrested 1 person that they tracked smuggling weapons? They just wanted to be able to show how US guns are in Mexico and use it to infringe more upon our rights.

Remember, Holder is a known anti gun statist. Rahm Emmanuel has said "Never let a crisis go to waste". Apparently if you can't find a crisis, you create one and exploit it.

I think the people in this administration were smart enough to realize the part NRA and gun owners played in the republican revolution of 1994. In order to not lose power this time yet still restrict our 2A rights, they needed a false flag operation to point and say "See! This is why we have to restrict gun sales/registration/whatever other stupid thing we can come up with"

From the article:

"Operation Fast and Furious contributed to the increasing violence and deaths in Mexico. This result was regarded with "giddy" optimism by ATF supervisors hoping that guns recovered at crime scenes in Mexico would provide the nexus to straw purchasers in Phoenix."

People are dying so they could pad their numbers and enact more gun laws.

Next step is for Obama to sign the U.N. Small Arms Treaty. Even if it isn't ratified the U.S. will have international pressure and isolation to force restrictions on our gun laws. We don't comply they don't help us with intel. and such. Does anyone really think D.C. is going to care about our rights when their own wealth and power is threatened? Time to take the Senate, throw Obama out and now is the time to renew our memberships and donate to pro-Second Amendment groups so they can get the word out about what is really happening with F&F and the U.N.!

Well, it seems that I am not the only one that came to this conclusion.
The NRA believes this is the case as well and is demanding the resignation of Eric Holder and all else involved in authorizing this scam.

Given that Holder was undoubtedly acting on a specific agenda laid out by the POTUS, I'd say this rises to impeachment level hearings.

Looks like, as always, it is the cover-up that gets attention. Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) sent a very enlighting letter to Holder this week.
http://grassley.senate.gov/judiciary/up ... erview.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
According to Mr. Melson, he and ATF's senior leadership team moved to reassign
every manager involved in Fast and Furious, from the Deputy Assistant Director for
Field Operations down to the Group Supervisor, after learning the facts in those
documents. Mr. Melson also said he was not allowed to communicate to Congress the
reasons for the reassignments. He claimed that ATF's senior leadership would have
preferred to be more cooperative with our inquiry much earlier in the process.
However, he said that Justice Department officials directed them not to respond and
took full control of replying to briefing and document requests from Congress. The
result is that Congress only got the parts of the story that the Department wanted us to
hear.
If his account is accurate, then ATF leadership appears to have been effectively
muzzled while the DOJ sent over false denials and buried its head in the sand. That
approach distorted the truth and obstructed our investigation. The Department's
inability or unwillingness to be more forthcoming served to conceal critical information
that we are now learning about the involvement of other agencies, including the DEA
and the FBI.
