Glock 17 Gen 4

Anyone CC a G17? What holster do you use? I currently have a Serpa Level 2 and it's hard to conceal it. Thinking maybe a G19 may be a better one to CC.

Have you tried a Kydex IWB? I think the problem is the holster more than the gun. The Serpa holsters with retention are designed for open carry more than easy concealment.
I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.

You can try a crossbreed or comp-tac minatuar holster. If you get the slide version it should work for 17-19-26 and its caliber counterparts. I can conceal my glock 27 and 23 in the same comp-tac without any problems or shell changes.

Glock 17 is one of guns in my carry rotation. As is the equal size S&W M&P. Above is correct; problem is your holster not your gun. I carry mine in an IWB Comp Tac MTAC that can also carry any other slide length of standard-frame width Glock in 9mm, .40, and .357 Sig.

Try a better concealment holster

Thanks for the replys. I think the IWB is probably going to have to wait a couple more months. Quit smoking and for some reason my pants shrank! Tried out a Fobus Paddle holster and it seems holds it a lot higher and tighter to my body.

If you ever do decide to buy an IWB holster give me a holler. I make hybrid IWB holsters for a pretty good price. Check out my website:

Any good IWB holster should work well for you, I carry a 19 IWB and it conceals very well with even just shorts and t shirt.

With the blackhawk serpa, even a g26 will stick out. I normally carry a g35 w/ TLR1 on a raven concealment holster clone. Gun is very close to the body and it rides high.

I have two close friends that carry the G-22. The same size just in .40. They use Comp Tac. I carry a G-23, but I carry OWB using the Lou Alessi CQC-S.
