For those of you who contacted your state rep....
How long did you wait before contacting them?

I've stated before that I have a squeaky clean record. Yet here I am starting week 3 of background check. I contacted via email and received the form email stating when they had received it and "you must allow 60 days for processing". They have already stated "there is nothing wrong with you application" over the phone.
Yeah, I see lots and lots of people here recently with perfect records waiting 60 days. (dripping with sarcasm of course).

Showing they only got your app the middle of July, you're not even at the 30 day mark yet. Depending on the local and the local background check, if the person is on vacation, etc. it can take a little while. Just hang in there and be patient. I am sure it will come along soon. Trying to escalate before the allowed time frame is up won't speed things up any, and will just frustrate the folks on the other end.

I'm not contacting him right now. I'm asking how long I should reasonably wait. Question is still valid. 60 days is allotted for the entire process. BG should be a significantly smaller time frame.

Hey catdaddy, I feel your pain...mine screamed through the approval process but is taking forever to travel less than 200 miles! I've read quite a few folks that received plastic while the website still showed them under review...the person doing your BG is probably sipping umbrella drinks on a beach somewhere with the person that was supposed to have taken my plastic to the mailbox!:

Hope you push through quickly! :clapping:

You should reasonably wait 60 days, which is the supposed turn=around time. I am afraid that, if too many people start "pulling the trigger" before the 60 day mark, our reps may stop being some accommodating.
