Have any other instructors here in the Dallas area received an email recently asking whether you use the range at Dallas Security Academy for you CHL classes? I received the following anonymous email that on the surface sounds like the person is inquiring about a class:

Hello,

an associate gave me your email. the last time i took the class
we used the location below. do you teach there? its cleaner then
most ranges and like that for my asthma.

Using some Google-fu, I found that the email address this message came from (which I won't post publicly) belongs to a guy named Gary Lenamond. Using more Google-fu I was able to positively link him to Dallas Security Academy. It appears this was a deceptive way of attempting to advertise their range for rent to CHL instructors. I'm guessing he got my email address from this forum, since I only recently received my instructor certificate, haven't taught a class yet, and don't even have a website up.

If he had just come out and said, "hey I saw your thread asking about Dallas ranges, ours is available" I would have been ok with that. I won't, however, do business with anyone who is going to be sneaky about it.

Just thought I'd throw that out there in case anyone else was contacted, or is considering renting their facilities for your classes.
