All my holsters are IWB. How much more difficult is an OWB to conceal.
Now that cooler weather is coming I was thinking of getting an OWB for my Beretta Storm SC.
To me the OWB in cooler weather will not need a shirt to cover but rather my loose fitting
vest should be enough and I figure that the OWB will be more comfortable and faster to draw
if ever needed.

I never carry IWB, find it too uncomfortable ... OWB in cool weather is easy to conceal; any reasonable overshirt or jacket will work ... It's pretty warm here year-round, of course ... my normal winter wear is a long-sleeve t-shirt and a fleece pullover, which easily conceals my regular winter EDC, a Kimber UCII in a kydex paddle holster ...

Hot or cold, I only do OWB. With the right holster and a roomy shirt, it's not a problem. The important thing is that your cover garment is long enough so that your gun doesn't play peekaboo.

I have 3 IWB holsters, a fanny pack and a smart carry so I may as well get an OWB as well.

I have an OWB holster for my 5 inch 1911 that I'm very fond of. Under a hoodie, its the perfect winter carry.
And though I mainly carry IWB for easy of concealment (I'm a shorts and t shirt kind of guy), I'll agree with the others and say that OWB is very comfy.

Same here!! I am shorts and tee shirts as well. I wear an oversize tee shirt when I carry that's why the IWB. I figured the OWB is more comfortable
no need to stuff it under your belt which adds an inch or two to my waist. I will get a good OWB that is non-molded and maybe it will do for my two
3inch firearms. That is if I can find one that will fit both. Starting to have a big collection of holsters.

I carry IWB ever since I have my chi. But with the temperature, I went ahead and bought a OWB holster a few weeks ago. Have been using it and thinking to myself why I didn't think of carrying OWB from the beginning. It is great. I just need to make sure my shirt is long enough to cover the bottom of my holster.
OWB can be a good choice if you wear untucked shirts or a jacket, including a blazer or suit coat. I have an old Hoffner's Strapless Spoiler that I sometimes carry a Glock during the 3 weeks of cool weather in Texas.
Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
I just wrote Dan of Zlogonje Gunleathers to price and order an OWB for my Beretta PX4 Storm sub compact.
It will be my first venture into the OWB territory.
A few days ago I received my IWB for my EMP that he made. Quality work!! I like it!!
I am sure my first OWB will be just as good.

I carry my Ruger p95 in a Hume J.I.T OSB and it carries pretty comfortably for a big gun. I also carry my 92 outside the waist in the small of the back. They stay hidden pretty good, but I need to be careful carrying the Ruger when stretching above my head. I just got a PX4 SC and I will be getting a inside the waist tuckable for the first time. I think I will mostly prefer carrying outside the waist but its nice to have options.

I have a Ruger p-89 and that is a full size gun but it is single stack so if you can hide the length of the gun it is pretty easy to conceal. I have a PX4 SC and that gun hides well no matter how you carry it.
It is just a hair shorter than the Glock 27 but just a hair thicker. In fact I have a IWB that holds either one. The Beretta is a nice gun. As I said in the post above I am having a OWB holster made for the Beretta PX4 SC.

I started with IWB, but picked up a DeSantis OWB during the summer. My first attempt at OWB was a Fobus paddle holster. I couldn't conceal that thing under jacket it was so big. It stood out like a pimple on a prom queen.
But the DeSantis is pulled in pretty tight. I have slowly been adding loose fitting button ups to my wardrobe and so the OWB is becoming my primary holster. It is, without a doubt, the most comfortable way to carry. I find that with three main options, I can carry in just about any clothes I own:
1. SR9c in OWB - un-tucked button-up printed shirts and some larger and longer pull overs
2. SR9c in IWB - smaller and/or shorter pull overs and some looser t-shirts - also the few times I need to tuck
3. PF9 in IWB - with this, I can carry in tighter t-shirts - just about anything really
Realizing that there were options for different fitting clothes was a break-through for me. I meant that I didn't have to change all of my shirts over right away. I also means I can still wear NFL (i.e. Texans) t-shrits and other novelty shirts that I pick up or are given to me for birthdays and what-not.
