What they don't realize is that, to many of us, that is the best recommendation that Rick Perry could get.

Alright, the day has come that I thought would never come. I have been persuaded by the Brady bunch. I have to admit that they convinced me...to vote for Rick Perry!

Well he's OK in my book too.

I need to thank them for compiling a succinct, clear list of all the reasons I like him so much!

I read that "report" as well. For those of us in the know and have kept up and actually read the Texas firearm legislation text (which I assume is most people here), its pretty laughable to see them twist the wording and logic to make these bills seem so sinister. They must not have much confidence in the intelligence of their base. A person with half a brain could figure out the gaps in their reasoning.

I love the picture on the cover of their report! :fire

I'm guessing it's loaded with blanks as a makeshift starting pistol.

EDIT: Them folks over with the Brady Bunch aren't that bright (but of course we already knew that). They used an un-cropped (making the report bigger than it needs to be) image for the cover (as discovered when importing the PDF in to Photoshop). Apparently the picture was taken April 18, 2010 at the Texas Motor Speedway in front of the winner's trophy.

Yup! That was a year or two ago on a campaign visit through Fort Worth, I think.

We know Rick Perry's stance on gun control. How about Mitt Romney's? He's from Massachusetts, but I don't know what his actual position is.

When I saw the Facebook link at the bottom of the article, I clicked it to see what was on the Brady Bunch's FB page.

I loved the "quote" from the DPD about gangbangers with guns in the car being let go because of MPA...when the MPA lists gang affiliation (in different language) as one of the things that invalidates non-CHL carrying in a vehicle. Those lying sacks of trash are probably worried that IF Gov. Perry gets elected (though I realize its a big if), he might just bring up firearms laws while in the office and not wait for Congress to bring something to him. I imagine those leftists laying awake at night after having a nightmare about a "pistol packing President"...

I needed a good laugh.

In the report they list 10 reasons to be alarmed by Rick Perry. Item number 1: "Rick Perry appears to be the type of politician that takes lightly the dangers of carrying loaded guns into public spaces..."

I don't know about you guys, but when I'm trying to make a point, the first spot on my ordered list is reserved for my strongest argument. That's not very damning. Appearances are purely speculative.
The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it to be always kept alive. It will often be exercised when wrong, but better so than not to be exercised at all. I like a little rebellion now and then. It is like a storm in the atmosphere. -Thomas Jefferson

I have known Rick Perry semi personally (he calls me by my first name, but I am not sure what he calls me behind my back) for 30 plus years and watched him start and move up in Texas Politics--But I disagree with him often and I TELL him when I do. Republicans are going to have to back someone who is electable Sarah has it, but can not draw the vote. Ron Paul is a great candidate, but he does not project as "Presidental." Someone said that they could vote for Mickey Mouse over Osama/bama, but we need to put the best ticket forward that meets the perceived needs of conservative voters from tea party to tea sippers. But if Brady is agin' Rick, I am for him. I have trouble believing Mitt--Someone from Mass will have to prove to me his beliefs and record on the second amendment and other important issues.
What does the Brady Campaign have to say about the candidate from Mass?
