TSRA and SB321 Actions
I have posted in another thread about a multi tenant scenario. there are others that are just as important. Alice Tripp sent a notice that she wants to know about problems or situations that may be misunderstood or not circumvented to get about SB321. I assume some have sent in questions. I will be writing this weekend about my situation. Has anyone seen or heard of status or what has been reviewed by the TSRA to date on these concerns? Thanks.

Re: TSRA and SB321 Actions
There's not much TSRA can do until the next legislative session in 2013, even if they wanted to.
The law intentionally applies only to employers and employees. That was discussed when the bill was making its way through Austin. It doesn't stop a business from prohibiting guns in parking lots for customers and guests. It doesn't stop a private college from expelling students for having guns in cars in parking lots. It doesn't stop a parking lot company from prohibiting guns in cars, except for their own employees. People were saying that 6 months ago.

Re: TSRA and SB321 Actions
Yes, I know very well what the intent and scope of SB321 is. And yes the TSRA can not do any legislative actions for almost two years. I posted in the other thread there are legal methods involving tests cases to bring things to a head one way or another. I don't want to test the legal loss of my license but I am willing to go the mile to take a company down if violating my rights. Don't want to go that road but I won't walk away quietly either.

Re: TSRA and SB321 Actions
Are you volunteering to be the test case?
Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
Re: TSRA and SB321 Actions
Not volunteering but I don't give up my rights either. Right now I am more concerned with the legal portion of entering a parking lot if there was a reason to find my CONCEALED weapon. I will not be a test case for the offense of violating a 30.06 or 30.05 line. I will push back if the SB321 rights are violated by my employer against me.
