Outed by mom

Post by AlaskanInTexas »

My mother doesn't know I carry and she is generally unfamiliar with firearms. She came down to visit this week. I walk in the door to greet her and the first thing out of her mouth is "Do you have a gun in your pocket?" So much for "it looks like a wallet or cell phone."

Ouch! Too funny. I wore the wrong pants to Kroger the other day and my LCP was painting badly. Nobody seemed to notice but I did feel a bit irresponsible. Funny story for a Friday.

For a mom that doesn't know you carry and is generally unfamiliar with firearms she sure made you pretty quick.

Mom might know more than you think. They usually do!

Actually, that line was lifted from Mae West (1893-1980), one of the original "blond bombshells" of Hollywood. (Biography) The inflatable life vests that Naval aviators wore during WW2 were known as "Mae Wests" because of their prominence in the upper torso area.

Check the long list of bawdy quotes in her bio. She was a pretty raunchy old gal.
