It is a new show on the Military channel and the first of eight, I think, episodes aired last night. It was about the M1911 and they gave a fairly complete but brief history of hand guns that led to its development. They had a quasi re-enactment of Sgt. York fending off a charge of six German soldiers and then a kind of competition between two guys, one with the Beretta 9mm that replaced the M1911 in the military, and the other with an M1911.
I liked the show and thought how much better the guy might have done in the one portion where they simulated clearing a trench with his seven shot M1911 if he'd had my 13+1 G21SF.

I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

I was not impressed. It seemed, to me, that the viewer was a complete idiot, knowing ABSOLUTELY nothing. Better more detail and less showmanship. (Revolvers are always better than automatics)..etc. will not watch again. waste of time.
