My dad got to shoot my ruger sr1911 and after 33yrs in law enforcement wants to start carrying a 1911.

Not really brand snobbish as long as it is all stainless 5".

I have a pre-series II Stainless Kimber 5".
Built in ~1996, when Kimber was earning their reputation...not cashing in on it.

If you are in the DFW area and would like to see and test-drive, let me know.
Pics available, price $750.

An offer was received on 11/25. Today is 12/3. Maybe he already sold it?

I think you will be very happy with the "series 1" Kimber. I have a couple of 5" models and paid what is being asked for one and more for another that had some custom work. These are getting harder to find.
