Non-violent Dispute Resolution

Post by goheeled »

Any tips for making the nonviolent dispute resolution section more fun and captivating for my students and less of a drag to teach for me? I try to keep things lively and entertaining for the students so they stay engaged in the class, but it never fails... a good number of students end up checking their eye lids for holes during this section.

Ask an "angry friend" to knock on the door.
Have an argument.

Theater beats lecture any day.

Probably the most useful relevant part of the class.

Any particular reason you've posted this thread twice? viewtopic.php?f=18&t=50456

Because it's really important to me. ;-) Just kiddin'. That sometimes happens when I post using my phone. Longtooth locked the other one down already. I'm a rookie... how do I delete it?

Amen to that. That's why I want it to really grab the attention of my students. Thanks for the idea!

To avoid the afternoon napping, do NVDR in the morning.

I have to do the big four topics during the afternoon to accommodate the renewal students.

Non-violent Dispute Resolution should be at least as interesting as the laws on where we can't carry, even after jumping through hoops to get permission to evercise a constitutional right. Non-violent Dispute Resolution should be more interesting than eligibility requirements to students who already applied online. Non-violent Dispute Resolution should be a lot more interesting than safe storage to anybody.
