Colorado Juvie records

Post by swamp »

I am working on getting my permit. I have taken the class and am gathering my paperwork to submit. I lived in Colorado as a kid and was caught stealing a Reeses Peanut Butter Cupfrom a TG&Y when I was about 11 yrs old. I took a trip to town but I do not remember any prints or photos taken (I am talking 40 years ago).

I never had a hearing, pretty much all I can remember is my dads belt on my tail.

Has anyone had experience getting Juvenile records from Colorado?

Is this something I need to worry about?

Yours sounds similar to my history, and when I thought i was "arrested", i was not really, and was only dealing in family court.
No actual arrest, no court records

I would not list your issue on the application.

Sorry for the confusion. Your thread got spammed, but it is all clean now.

I doubt there was an actual arrest made, I would not put it on the application, as it would only hold things up. DPS is not really interested in juvie records that are more than 10 years old, anyway.

And thanks for bringing back some childhood memories. I have not thought about TG&Y for years!

X2 just submit it at worst they will tell you they need a disposition and it will take you a week longer to get your plastic.
