FS: Custom Colt Combat Commander in .45ACP (BMT)

Post by doc540 »

1974, all steel, Colt Combat Commander in .45 ACP. This is my favorite project gun, but it's time to start another project.

All custom fitted parts are stainless Ed Brown: trigger, hammer, slide stop, barrel bushing, recoil spring cap, thumb safety, extended mag release, and grip safety.

Sights are new, Novak-fitted white dot/tritium combat sights, and the grips are VZ Operator II's with Ed Brown stainless hex screws.

The gun only has about 200 round through it since the build. The trigger is excellent and it is VERY accurate. It cycles HP ammo flawlessly and makes a GREAT carry piece

Also included are three, Tripp Research, stainless, extended capacity, 7 round mag's.

All work was performed by competent, Texas gunsmiths, and the finish is fresh Cerakote.

I will also include all the original 1974 Colt parts that were removed, including the wood grips with gold Colt medallions.

Payment by USPS Money Order or Bank Cashier's Check

$1500 includes shipping, $1475 FTF in Beaumont

Have to keep the box. Lifelong friend made it as a gift.

It would even make a Hi-Point look good.

Nice. Do you have a shot of the grip safety fit to the frame? Also of the VSI and barrel bed?

Your smith is good. I rarely see the safety follow the frame curvature that well. The GS is molded in very well too. I have seen way too many dremel jobs with a gap 1/16th" or more in there. May not sound likel much but it is huge in person. I just bought 2 Gold Cups or I would be driving to BMT this weekend.
