I'd far prefer another EE Aggie to another Aggie Attorney, or a new lawyer from anywhere for that matter. . .WildBill wrote:Another EE Aggie, just what we need.![]()

Congrats!! Two of my friends went to A&M and got eng. degrees both make more money then I ever will and they are only 30. Plus they love their jobs also. I just wish I was good a math and physics and actually enjoyed it. Give him all the moral support he can get because I know my friends went through *ell in engineering school at A&M. It's hard but worth it if you can do it!

Re: Another Aggie
Had a lot of friends start off as Engineering majors but couldn't hack it. Like every other guy in college who has no idea what to do they got business degrees and they are kicking themselves in this current economy. Better off with a computer science or just plain Math major IMO. Everybody has a bull degree and they have started to become almost as bad as any of the liberal arts degrees.
If for some reason (knock on wood) he has problems getting an engineering degree look at accounting, Computer Science etc before a bull degree.
But I am sure the young man will do just fine!
Edit: Funny it won't let me say Business Science abbreviated. So it replaces it with bull!

Congrats to your son. Happy to welcome another Aggie to the family.
Re: Another Aggie
I hope that SC1903A3 knows that I was kidding. Engineering, especially EE, is a tough major. I have worked with many A&M engineers and they are top notch. I wish him the best.CC Italian wrote:Congrats!! Two of my friends went to A&M and got eng. degrees both make more money then I ever will and they are only 30. Plus they love their jobs also. Re: Another Aggie
Well, I am an AGGIE Electrical Engineer ('74). Congrats and wish him well. Now, not sure I would wish anyone to ever become an engineer anymore these days, BUT, the truth is there is a coming again a shortage of them. Ssssoooooo.....in his long future it may turn out very well. Pick a good secondary minor that supports his major. For example, Engineering degree with a minor in oceanography. Deep well support of engineering needs understanding of the ocean for example. Look at combinations that support a major field with an area of expertise. GIG 'EM!
