Last few days the worst

Post by stars200 »

I really have been impressed with the timeline on my license. Espescially with Christmas and New Years in the mix.

Checking on my status Saturday morning it is now showing mailed, so it should be here any day now. So far I think this has been the worst part of the waiting period for me.

I am glad I found the forum and have been able to read others opinions and experiences. It has really helped the time go by.

The process of waiting and frequently checking the DPS website certainly illustrates Eistein's Theory of Relativity, doesn't it. Time passes to quickly for some... so s l o w l y for others.

Hang in there - only a few ever seem to go missing in the mail! :hurry:

Well getting impatient on the mail. Now that I know that it is on it way, I am just itching to get out of the mail. I would have bet that it would be waiting on me tonight, but no luck. :totap: Hopefully tomorrow.

I am betting you have it by now, but have not bothered to update those of us that are hanging on tenterhooks. Hope it is well and truly in hand, and that you have been busy to Wally Walks, and whatnot, to get used to it.

Yes, I did get it finally on Friday the 13th. So much for an unlucky day!! :anamatedbanana It had been kind of a rough week, starting about Wednesday when I would check the mail !##!@$#$!$!@# and then shut the mailbox door. Finally on Friday saw the plain envelope from "Licensing". Ran in like Ralphie in " A Christmas Story" getting his decoder ring. Shut the bedroom door and holstered up. Waited for my wife to get off work and my daughter to get home, see if they noticed and we went out the eat. Funny after ready all of the stories on people being paranoid about their first carrys how natural if felt. Then again, I am carrying a S&W 380 Bodyguard and it is easy to conceal as well as a 2nd mag in a Desantis pocket mag holder. Carried all weekend on our errands, all went well.

Congratulations!!! Glad you got your plastic and that you've already successfully made your first outings. I assume your wife and daughter did not notice you were carrying when they got home. It's a nice feeling to know that all your practice paid off!

I know what you mean. I wore it around the house, and kept it in the car for a couple of months before my plastic came. It felt a little wonderful, and a little awesome, but not foreign to carry once the plastic finally came.

Day 36 for me.. status has been "Manufacturing" since Friday. I live in Austin so I expect to have plastic in my hand the day after it is mailed, at the latest. I'm hoping it'll get to me before the website has time to update to "mailed"!
