I'm interested in knowing about any classes conducted in that area, so perhaps I can catch one when I'm there preparatory to moving in May.
TIA

Around what dates you want to take a class?
Lots of classes in Austin/San Antonio ares ...
I know there are several instructors on this board.
There's a class in Round Rock near Austin on Jan 21 if you mean right away... but some Instructors on the board will respond

Bass Pro Shop in San Antonio is where I went. Nice folks, indoor range, good food, free coffee. They have a nice discount for two or more family members that take the course. I noticed it was female friendly too, had a lot of ladies, young and old.

Is the class pretty good, or barely tolerable? The instructor can make all the difference in the world to how effective the class is. A good instructor can really make the day worthwhile, and a poor one can make it seem like an eternity wasted.
I am not the mot experienced shooter around but did participate in IDPA and Bullseye matches here for awhile, completed 3 Bruce Gray weekend training classes in handguns proficiency, and some other training courses, including the required course for California CCW. I don't expect any trouble passing the shooting, or the test, really, but it has to be done and I'd like to get the most out of it.
It sounds like the Bass Pro Shop is conveniently located too, if I remember right.

The Adult Ed department of Kerrville ISD (Club Ed) runs CHL classes in Kerrville and Boerne. Click on this link and pick your class. Larry Arnold teaches the class in Kerrville and that's who I took my class with - he is an excellent instructor.
You can also call Hill Country Shooting Sports Center - they run classes on-site if I remember correctly.
A third option is to call Deb Wardlaw - she conducts CHL classes and you can probably arrange for a private class. Deb is excellent - I set up private shooting lessons for dear wife. DW was very impressed with Deb - I think I'm going to call Deb and set up some instruction for me

I didn't take it from Gail, but know people who did.
Along the same lines of Real Estate plus CHL, you might Private message this member out of Austin/Cedar Park to see when he might have a class/house for sale. IIRC, he is Instructing now.
