Hello all,
I am going to be in Austin next weekend connecting with a buddy of mine. Can anyone recommend a good public range that we could visit on a Friday afternoon?

Which part of town? Other than Reds Indoor (two locations - $16 per hour per lane ) all other ranges are on the outskirts - so north, south, east, west become important for making recommendations.webb3201 wrote:Hello all,

Best of the West in Liberty Hill is great on weekdays, but if you're in south Austin it's about an hour drive.

We are going to be in near Congress and 4th for the weekend, but can travel out a bit.

Reds South is closest.webb3201 wrote:We are going to be in near Congress and 4th for the weekend, but can travel out a bit.
Range (and barbecue ) in Lockhart are good. Lone Star is name of range down there.
If you want to make the drive to Liberty Hill BOTW is great - 1,000-yard rifle range, tactical bays for pistol and carbine allowing rapid fire, holster draws, multiple targets and angles etc
