Straw Purchase Seizures In San Antonio

Post by dihappy »

SAN ANTONIO -- Bexar County sheriff’s deputies joined federal agents in a roundup of more than 200 high-powered guns, including AR-15s, AK-47s and a sniper rifle.

The weapons were seized by agents from Homeland Security and the bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives after straw purchasers living in San Antonio bought the weapons and delivered them to gun runners for a Mexican cartel.

Resell them to their own under cover straw purchaser.

Wonder which government agency is going to put up the bond for their straw purchasers? :totap:

You reckon the federal agents recognized the scofflaws from their offices across the hall or what?

I don't know, but obviously arresting their own buyers will cause some lower level heads to roll. Imagine the audacity! Breaking up Fast and Furious II by mistake.

In all seriousness (sadly) this sounds like rationale for them keeping the de facto gun registration the BATFE has going in the border states. :mad5 Putting a few of their own in jail is a small price to pay.
