Any Ladies in the April 2-6 Class ?

Post by TexasGal »

Just received confirmation I am in the April 2-6 regular CHL instructor's class. Would like to find out if any other women are going. I am interested in splitting a hotel room and/or providing a ride down there if you are from the DFW area or on the way. Send me a PM. I expected them to have the class in June since that is what they originally estimated to me so this is sooner than I was planning for

So... Is there an "irregular CHL Instructor's class"? :biggrinjester:

well, looks like I will have to wait for the next one!! Still need to get the fingerprints done(again!)--you would think that they could use the same fingerprints as for the CHL!

And here I thought the " irregular" class just took breaks more often.... :biggrinjester:

Ladies- You seem to be a smart group. I am looking into getting the instructor training. I just started checking into it today. I fill out the online app. payed the fee and filling out my CHL-90 form. Getting fingerprints done on Tuesday. Then do I just wait till they assign me a class time? Anybody have any advice for somebody just starting the process?

Thanks

Paula

Give it a little time for your app and prints to get into the system and then you can sign in online to check the status. They will send you an email containing the date of your class and what you need to do, but it may take a while. I waited a couple of months, but it varies. Explore their website for more info. A lot of what will be in your info packet is on it. Several threads here on the forum have good info, but there have been a lot of changes in how DPS wants things done, so be careful about the older posts. Some of what is discussed is outdated info now. Good luck!

I'm not a lady, and my wife might be upset if I shared a room. But I'll be in the class, and I look forward to meeting the other students in the class.

Thanks- I am so anxious about this whole process. I know they got the stuff last week and I check online everyday. I might just be driving myself crazy. I am hoping to get it done sooner then later. This could be quite profitable for me since we have our own shooting berm. I will be stressed about it till I know if I can pass the class.

Many of us have our locations in our profile. Which shows up under our icon. I'm in McKinney.
