Is this a legal CHL sign in Teaxs? I saw this on my Hotel in the DFW area. I have no idea what the legal numbers on the bottom part of the sign mean. I know it isnt a 30.06 sign buit I wanted to see if anybody here knows. Thanks!!

I did obviously. I didn't think it was legal, but I am surprised. I am not keeping it in the car all night anyway... I'd rather have it with me at all times. My weapon never left my sight or person the entire time I was on vacation in Dallas.

a 4413 (29 ee) sign is the big green one in these examples
4413 (29 ee) was repealed there is no such law so if you see 4413 (29ee) that's a tip that it's an unenforceable sign anyway.
as stated above, that's not a 30.06 sign, carry away if licensed

In my layman's opinion, It's legal for them to have/keep/put up unenforceable signs ... it's legal for you to ignore unenforceable signs ... however the sign, though legal to have, is legally unenforceable in that you aren't breaking any law by ignoring it.

Welcome to the forum :tiphat:

And, this may have been a sign that was placed prior to 1997 when the 30.06 sign went into effect. I say that because it references the Vernon's Civil Statutes 4413 (29ee) which covers concealed handgun code and was the law prior to 30.06 being established.

So, not being a 30.06, you were legal to carry past it.

And RPB more or less beat me to it.
