CHL-100 concern!

Post by CowDog »

I'm new to the forum, but have found a lot of useful info here.
I filled out the online application, and passed both the written and shooting proficiency parts of the training course last weekend, got my fingerprints taken, and passport photos. So, I am ready to send in the required forms. The concern is that no one our class received their CHL-100, we all signed them, but the instructor said that he had to sign them and send them in as well as some quote "other forms". By all info I have gathered, we should have been given the CHL-100 to send with the rest of the required forms, and four of us all but took him down to take them from him, but he had not even signed them yet.

Give it to me straight, are we in for serious problems here?

Thanks

This seems strange to me, as an instructor I do not keep your CHL 100 but I do make a copy for records. After you have completed the course I will pass out CHL 100's to all of the students for YOU to mail in with your paper work, I dont see how it would work if the instructor sends in the documentation.

You must have an orginal CHL 100 signed by the instructor and it can NOT be a copy, your application is not complete without it.

pm me if you want further help.

I agree with Brian. We have been doing this for a very long time, and we have never sent in the CHL-100 form for the student.

Call your instructor back and demand the original, signed form. You need to send that in with the rest of your application. If he still won't give it to you, then contact DPS at (800) 224-5744

Agreed. Hopefully this is a new instructor with a misunderstanding of the process.
